Does Geisinger have drug and alcohol rehab coverage?
What Coverage Levels And Plans Does Geisinger Offer?
Geisinger offers a number of different plans. If your workplace does not provide insurance, you may be able to obtain coverage through the Marketplace, or your employer may provide Geisinger policies.
You must pick a primary care physician (PCP) who can oversee your care and recommend you to specialists if you enroll in a Health Management Organization (HMO) plan. If you use in-network providers, you’ll spend less in out-of-pocket expenses as well as monthly premiums.
A PCP is also used in a Point-of-Service (POS) strategy to coordinate care. You can receive care from in-network or out-of-network providers, but the cost of out-of-network care will be higher. You can visit providers inside or outside the network with a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plan, which does not need you to have a PCP. Outside of the network, though, you do pay more.
For people who are eligible for Medicare, Geisinger also offers Medicare Advantage insurance. This all-inclusive alternative to Original Medicare covers healthcare, hospitalization, prescription medications, and other benefits.
Last but not least, those with lower incomes who are eligible for Medicaid may be able to obtain coverage through GHP Family, which supports care coordination and offers a variety of free services.
