This place has been a long-time community resource and pride since I was a teenager. I’m now approaching my 40’s and I still find myself being drawn to ”The Center” for everything as diverse as activism to healthcare.

Whenever I visit NYC I always stop off at The Center to see what's going on. Sometimes I check ahead to see what groups are meeting that I'd like to join. Then I plan my trip around that group's meeting. I've met lots of friendly NYC guys and women at The Center.

The Closing of the Metanoia exhibit was a glorious thing to see because it revealed the embers burning still in many of us over the slaughter of hundreds of thousands of our people through HIV/AIDS are ready to come roaring back to life and make sure this critical piece of history is not forgotten or edited out of the book.

I was visiting for the first time and the front desk had no care about that. The community there seemed as if my first visit didn't matter. Nor the person before me. It's a nice space but I don't think they care about their community much. Really was disappointment and my excitement passed quickly. :(

The LGBT center took my phone number from a voting agency and spammed me despite me never opting into their communications. It’s not only rude it’s a violation of the federal CAN-SPAM act. Stay out of our inboxes and text messages unless we opted in to your messages
