Family psychoeducation

Refers to Nexus-Indian Oaks Family Healing aiming to assist consumers, their families and supporters in understanding mental illness, developing effective coping strategies, reducing family tension, providing social support, focusing on the future, and finding ways to aid in recovery through relationship building, education, collaboration, and problem-solving. This includes learning about mental illness, mastering new methods of managing it, and offering encouragement to one another.

Intensive case management

Intensive Case Management (ICM) is an essential service in the mental health care continuum for individuals with severe mental illness. It involves building a caring and trustworthy relationship with the consumer, promoting their independence by coordinating appropriate services and providing ongoing, long-term support. ICM evolved from Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) and Case Management (CM) and emphasizes frequent contact, small caseloads, and high-intensity care to improve the consumer's quality of life. The case manager coordinates services from multiple systems as the consumer's needs change, working to help them achieve their recovery goals and stabilize their lives. Intensive case management is critical in providing the support and resources that consumers need to improve their quality of life.

Housing that offers independence and normality, along with customizable supportive services that enable individuals to retain their autonomy to the greatest extent feasible.

Vocational rehabilitation services

Involve assistance in securing employment, evaluating and improving job-related abilities, attitudes, and behaviors, and providing job training and opportunities, including transitional employment in the Manteno area.
