This includes learning about mental illness, mastering new methods of managing it, and offering encouragement to one another.

Intensive case management

The case manager coordinates services from multiple systems as the consumer's needs change, working to help them achieve their recovery goals and stabilize their lives. Intensive case management is critical in providing the support and resources that consumers need to improve their quality of life.

Psychosocial rehabilitation services

Refers to therapeutic or intervention services offered individually or in groups at East County Childrens Behavioral Health, aimed at improving daily and community-living skills, self-care abilities, and training in specific skills such as grooming, bodily care, feeding, social skills, and basic language skills.

Therapeutic foster care

Offers therapy for children within the homes of trained families, merging the positive impact of family-based care with specialized treatment methods to create a therapeutic atmosphere in a supportive family environment.

Case management service

A service that provides assistance to individuals and families in coordinating necessary support and resources through a designated case manager. Suicide prevention services

Involve identifying potential warning signs; educating staff on recognizing signs of suicidal behavior and evaluating risk; and managing patients who are at risk of suicide by providing appropriate interventions, such as treating underlying mental health or substance use disorders, administering psychotropic medications, offering supportive services, and providing education.
