This is an amazing place to help our veterans get their feet back under them and get the help to move their life forward. Getting members off the streets and in line with their new life needs. The new adventure and skills that folks learn make them productive members.

This place is amazing. They are here to help veterans who need the help. If it were not for organizations like this many more veterans would be on the streets with no help.

This place saves 100s of lives everyone who complains ....well to me while i was there is like a little druggy kid who doesnt get what they want. The people who work here most of them care with love and dont get paid what they should. Thank you VVSD for saving another life. Drugs and Alcohol are not the answer.

The staff at the front desk are residence not professionals . This is a treatment facility for Homeless Vets with a substance abuse problem.. Being a receptionist with combat PTSD won't be a career choice when they graduate so ease up

They have residents working the front desk who know nothing and can't help you. It is sad that they have lost a lot of staff because if your a homeless veteran with substance abuse issues you are going to be waiting way to long for help.

If I was a crackhead or some kind of addict with a needle poking out of my arm I feel I’d be able to get in here easier. It’s been weeks since I’ve become newly homeless and haven’t heard ANYTHING from them yet. Keep calling everyday and 9/10 times no one answers or calls back.

Many disqualifying factors and seemingly incompetency to work with through processing. Sent required paperwork several times but kept requesting the same paperwork and off the bat the intake seemed to not really want to help.

The commenter below is right. VVSD is suppose to be 100% free from religious proselytizing but VVSD mandates Jesus and Higher Power religions on the veterans. I've met a lot of homeless veterans still on the streets who have BEEN THERE DONE THAT at VVSD's religious indoctrination center.
