Aripiprazole

A medication that belongs to the class of drugs known as atypical antipsychotics. It is primarily used to treat symptoms of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and depression. An atypical antipsychotics used to treat schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and major depressive disorder by reducing the symptoms of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and major depressive disorder, such as hallucinations, delusions, mood swings, and sleep disturbances. Aunique aspect of Quetiapine is that it has been associated with a relatively lower risk of extrapyramidal symptoms (EPS) compared to some other antipsychotics. EPS are a set of movement disorders that can occur with the use of antipsychotic medications, and can include symptoms such as tremors, muscle stiffness, and involuntary movements. While Quetiapine may still cause EPS in some individuals, it is generally considered to have a lower risk of these symptoms compared to other antipsychotics.

Risperidone

Risperidone also an atypical antipsychotics thats used in the treatment of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and irritability associated with autism, may differ from similar medications in its class because its able to be administered via a long-acting injection that is given every two weeks. This can be particularly helpful for individuals who have difficulty adhering to a medication regimen, as it ensures that the medication is consistently delivered to the body.
