Haloperidol

More effective at treating positive symptoms of schizophrenia, such as hallucinations and delusions, but may also have a higher risk of causing adverse effects, Haloperidol is considered a high-potency antipsychotic drug used to treat psychotic disorders. Haloperidol is typically prescribed at a lower dose than Fluphenazine due to its higher potency.

Aripiprazole

A medication that belongs to the class of drugs known as atypical antipsychotics. It is primarily used to treat symptoms of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and depression. Aripiprazole works by adjusting the levels of certain neurotransmitters in the brain, such as dopamine and serotonin, which are involved in regulating mood and behavior.In a drug treatment facility like Oaks Integrated Care, aripiprazole may be used to help manage symptoms of substance withdrawal, particularly in cases where there is an underlying mental health condition, such as schizophrenia or bipolar disorder. Aripiprazole may also be used as part of a comprehensive treatment plan for individuals with co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders.

Clozapine

A medication that also belongs to the class of drugs known as atypical antipsychotics and maybe used may be used as a treatment option in Oaks Integrated Care for individuals with treatment-resistant schizophrenia, or those who have not responded well to other antipsychotic medications in a drug treatment facility.

Olanzapine

Olanzapine, an atypical antipsychotic, is primarily prescribed for the treatment of bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. It can be used for both long-term maintenance and new-onset disease in schizophrenia, and can be administered orally or via intramuscular injection.

Olanzapine/Fluoxetine combination

Olanzapine/Fluoxetine combination is a medication that is prescribed for the treatment of depressive episodes associated with bipolar I disorder, as well as treatment-resistant depression in adults. It is a combination of two active ingredients, olanzapine and fluoxetine, that work by modulating the activity of neurotransmitters in the brain. This medication is typically used when other antidepressant medications have been found to be ineffective.

Risperidone

Risperidone also an atypical antipsychotics thats used in the treatment of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and irritability associated with autism, may differ from similar medications in its class because its able to be administered via a long-acting injection that is given every two weeks. This can be particularly helpful for individuals who have difficulty adhering to a medication regimen, as it ensures that the medication is consistently delivered to the body.
